Tyler Masonry
An independent content and on-page review of a live masonry contractor’s website.
This is an independent review I performed on a live public website to demonstrate real analysis — I’m not affiliated with this business, and this isn’t paid client work.
Title tag, meta description, and viewport are all set up correctly on this site — but reading through the actual page content surfaced content-quality issues that matter more than the metadata here.
| Element / Location | Current state | Issue |
|---|---|---|
| FAQ section | Live, unfilled template placeholder: “How do I schedule an estimate? Call [Your Number]” | Placeholder content remains visible |
| Chimney services section | Copy reads “At Axis, our chimney contractors…” — leftover brand name from a different business’s template | Incorrect brand reference |
| FAQ section | Two different questions share the exact same answer, word for word | Duplicate answers reduce usefulness and specificity |
A phone number placeholder left live in the FAQ, or a competitor’s brand name showing up in the copy, actively undermines trust for a contractor whose whole pitch depends on being careful and reliable. These are the kind of errors a visitor notices immediately, even if they don’t know anything about SEO.
- Do a full read-through of every page’s live copy, not just a technical crawl — placeholder text like “[Your Number]” won’t show up in most automated audits.
- Replace the “Axis” reference with the correct business name, and check whether other sections were copied from the same source template.
- Write a unique answer for each FAQ question — duplicate answers read as low-effort and don’t help with any of the individual questions ranking.
